PRESIDENT TINUBU APPOINTS NEW CHAIRMAN FOR DAVID UMAHI FEDERAL UNIVERSITY TEACHING HOSPITAL

President Bola Tinubu has appointed Dr. Ijeomah Arodiogbu from Imo State as the new Chairman of the David Umahi Federal University Teaching Hospital, Uburu.

This announcement was made by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, in a statement released on Friday in Abuja.

Dr. Arodiogbu's appointment is part of a broader series of appointments made by President Tinubu, which include board chairpersons for 42 federal organizations and a secretary to the board of the Civil Defence, Immigration, and Prisons Services.

Dr. Ijeomah Arodiogbu is a medical doctor and politician with a strong background in public health.

Born in Imo State, he graduated from the University of Nigeria Enugu campus in 1993 and later obtained a Master's degree in Public Health from the University of Leeds in England.

He has worked as a Special Adviser to the Minister of State for Education and as a consultant to the Governor of Yobe State.

President Tinubu has also directed the newly appointed board chairpersons not to interfere with the management of the organizations, emphasizing that their positions are non-executive, while all the appointments take immediate effect.

David Umahi Federal University Teaching Hospital Uburu, located in Ohaozara, Ebonyi State, was established in 2022.
