David Umahi Federal University Teaching Hospital has successfully conducted its first internship recruitment examination and screening to fill internship positions in five clinical disciplines.

The exercise which took place at the hospital complex on Wednesday is a crucial step in selecting qualified candidates who will be provided with hands-on experience and training in their chosen fields.

A team from the Federal Ministry of Health, led by Mr. Akpan Bassey oversaw the smooth execution of the exercise in liaison with the hospital management and heads of the respective departments.

Chief Medical Director of DUFUTH, Prof. Uzoma Agwu, welcomed the delegation and ensured a conducive environment for the candidates to take their exams.

She also conducted a tour of the respective examination halls to inspect and provide support.

A total of 551 candidates participated in the examination, competing for internship positions in Nursing, Pharmacy, Medical Laboratory Services, Radiology and Optometry.
